For those not content to spend their holiday lying around, Puumala offers various activities to choose from including excellent routes for paddling and hiking.
Hiking and nature paths

In Puumala it is possible to go hiking along one of the beautiful nature paths in the area such as Torikonpolku (24 km) or Kukkeistenpolku (10 km). If one does not wish to stress oneself too much Liehtalanniemi also offers smaller paths for nature lovers to enjoy.
The Green Gold Hiking Routes start from Puumala Sahanlahti and it’s possible to walk over 300 km without leaving these paths.

Ski Tours
Enjoy in the winter scenery in Puumala by yourself or by taking part in one of our organised ski trips. In Puumala there are several different ski routes depending on your stamina and enthusiasm that make skiing enjoyable to all ages.
Home harbour

The S/S Wenno and M/S Kaunis Veera offer you the possibility to cruise the beautiful lake Saimaa even if you’re travelling by car. Both ships are also available for private cruises and occasions.
Paddling

Puumala’s beautiful scenery and water routes offer and unforgettable vacation for people who want to explore area at their own pace. Veskansan Reitit map (“The Routes of the Waterpeople”) gives you alternative routes to choose. If you are in no hurry, why not set camp and simply enjoy the nature around you. Sport facilities
Puumala also offers various other opportunities for activities that relate to your own interests. Ask us about facilities and events concerning your hobby.
Sports facilities in Puumala include several tennis fields, an ice rink for skating and hockey in the winter, a sports field and a gym.
