Shopping
As a souvenir from Puumala one might bring home handicrafts, fish, berry juice and jam, currant wine and many other unique and interesting items. The rock paintings in Puumala area have inspired the master goldsmith Seppo Reponen to create his own type of jewellery based on these ancient rock paintings. At his shop Kulta-Seppo at the Puumala harbour it is possible to admire and buy his works as a souvenir reflecting the real Puumala. See also Kulta Seppo.
Hurissalon Matto ja Tekstiili weavery and textile shop is located at Kontilantie 95 in
Hurissalo. Get to know Finnish weaving and buy souvenirs from the shop. The weavery is open on
weekdays from 1.6 to 31.8 12-18.00, in July also on Sundays. In other months the opening
hours are Mon-Fri 12-18.00.
